Lithan Hall Academy achieves SSG CET Centre status

Singapore, November 22, 2013 – Lithan Hall Academy, a 4-year Edutrust certified PEI, has achieved the distinction of being recognized as a SSG National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF) Continuous Education and Training Centre (CETC) from 1st November 2013. CETCs are appointed by the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) to offer a comprehensive array of Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses as well as career services, such as employment advisory and placement. CETCs undergo a rigorous accreditation and Continuous Improvement Review process to ensure that the high standards and quality of training are maintained. Lithan Hall Academy provides Cooperative Education programmes for High-demand professional communities. We offer courses that provide Competency-based Education, Experiential Learning, and Career Transition Support.

Lithan Hall Academy provides several programmes in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence, Systems Management, and Technopreneurship that are mapped to the NICF. Students, who successfully finish any of these NICF programmes, acquire the practical skills and competencies needed by employers in the infocomm industry. Our courses also immerse students into real-life work scenarios so they can practice what they have learned. This is done through the use of industry leading tools during training, 6-month corporate internship assignments, and a Capstone Project, which aims to provide the opportunity to show what students have learned in class by applying it to real-world scenarios. Finally, Lithan Hall Academy's career services guides and mentors our students so they can do well during interviews. We do our best so our graduates are matched to the right employer and vice versa.

The National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF) is part of the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system and it was developed as a joint effort by the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG), the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and strategic stakeholders in the Infocomm industry.

The NICF articulates the competency requirements of key infocomm professionals as a manpower planning tool that details the competency requirements of key infocomm job roles and assists in the skills development and career progression of infocomm professionals.
