The following are the 9 modules for Lithan Hall Academy's Diploma in Business Information Systems.
LHB1101 Financial Accounting
You will be introduced to the fundamentals of accounting such as types of business entities, business funding, capital and revenues, accounting periods, balance sheet, cash flow statement, preparation of financial statements, assets and inventories, accounting standards, analysis of financial performance and sources of business funding.
LHB1102 Managerial Accounting
You will be introduced to the various control systems for materials, labour and overheads, various cost classifications and the effect of volume on costs, how cost systems differ by activity based on job, process and contract costing, the difference between marginal and absorption costing, the purpose of budgetary control, standard costing and variance analysis, purpose and importance of working capital management, information requirements of management.
LHC1103 Computer Systems
You will understand how computer systems execute programs, store information and communicate. The module also serves as a foundation for compilers, networks, operating systems and computer architecture.
LHC1102 Computer Applications in Business and Finance
You will gain a basic understanding of how computer applications are developed and used in business and finance.
LHC1104 Developing Business Applications (C# Programming)
You will learn how to develop applications using ASP.NET in a development environment that uses Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.
LHB1103 Economic Principles and their Application to Business
You will learn about the various principles of economics as they apply to businesses.
LHC1101 Project I
Develops your communication, leadership, interpersonal and instructional skills. Learn to identify your strengths and competencies through your education, work and extracurricular experiences. Identify your core graduate attributes and other essential professional competencies.
LHB1104 Introduction to Marketing
You will understand marketing in today's environment, develop marketing plans and strategies, and perform marketing research. Understand consumers and their behaviors, develop pricing policies and respond to changes in market environment.
LHB1105 Organizational Behavior
You will gain introductory knowledge about how people, individuals, and groups act in organizations. This module also encompasses a wide range of topics, such as human behavior, change, leadership and teams.
